Spanish painter, Juan BENITO were working during the 70's in Saint-Tropez and Montmartre, where he has been noticed in 1973 by one of the most important artwork dealer of Paris : Katia GRANOFF. He exposed in her gallery next to great artists like Marc CHAGALL.
Traveller artist, eager for cultures, he went to Mexico, San Francisco, Montreal and Quebec, Costa Rica, San Juan de Puerto Rico. Everywhere, he paints and sells in galleries, wich always opened the door, and everywhere he lived by painting.
He came back to France, and installed himself in Camargue, where he started to paint his « Arlesiennes ».
With his love for Camargue and Arles, he has been inspired by our culture, especially through bull subjects, corrida, Arlesian or Sévillian women he paints with emotion and majesty.
