Graffiti artist and painter, John Andrew Perello, alias JonOne, dominican, was born in New-York during the 60's.
Child of Harlem, JonOne learned by bombing the trains and the walls of his district, when he was seventeen.
Self-made, he moved from urban support to canvas (medium with wich he will be exposed in the whole world), realizing artworks clearly influenced by his life (hip hop, street, subway) et by modern painting.
In an innovating style wich excells the graffiti laws (street art, urban culture), his pieces deal with his « freestyle » (a liberty he promotes on top of all), his motto that does not require any limit.
In his paintings, the space is fully used. Color appears like John's vital charge, his palette is rich and bright, hues and contrasts reveal delicate shades, in a harmonious composition, that seems spontaneous and measured. Forms are tie and untie, wavy or straight. There is symmetry and asymmetry, repetition and unification, lines are mastered with precision and flexibility. Each canvas is an abstract improv, bright, wich transmits a joy of living.
